Application Requirements

 

We are so excited that you have decided to spend your Summer in Armenia! Before applying, a quick note on eligibility. You MUST have graduated from high school to apply for AUA’s summer program. To confirm that your application is complete, make sure that you meet the following requirements while completing your application at admissions.aua.am/apply.

1. Submit a Complete Application for Summer 2023
Submit a complete application including all required supplements as outlined in the application instructions at admissions.aua.am/apply

2. Submit Proof of English Language Proficiency
Present valid and official results confirming English language proficiency typically through the TOEFL iBT (target score: 79) or IELTS Academic (target score: 6.5) exams. Native and near-native speakers are eligible for a waiver. For more information, please read the English Language Proficiency waiver policy here. You can email [email protected] for instructions about applying for a waiver. To ensure AUA receives your official test score directly from the testing service, please use AUA’s institution code as noted below:

3. Math Proficiency
While summer applicants are not required to demonstrate proficiency in mathematics at the time of application, we may request proof if you are interested in taking heavy math courses. Available exams include the SAT or ACT. Unofficial copies of all test scores you list in your application should be uploaded to your application package before submission. If you registered to take a test or planning to do so, you must indicate the American University of Armenia’s institution codes during the registration process, as follows:

4. Upload a scan of the photo and registration pages of your passport (or National ID for Armenian citizens)

5. Upload a photo meeting the online application requirements


6. Attach High School and/or University Transcripts

If you are a first-year university student, please upload a PDF version of both your high school and university transcripts. If you have already completed one year of undergraduate studies, then simply upload a PDF of your college transcript(s).   

7. Write a Personal Statement
Prepare a short, informative personal statement discussing why you are interested in AUA’s summer programs, what you hope to gain from the experience, and discuss how you envision the program to affect your academic and career goals. 

8. Non-refundable Application Fee of 20,000 AMD
