“AUA motivates me to keep on going and to never give in. It has also helped me overcome my insecurities and discover myself from a whole new perspective.”

Warm greetings to you all. I am Gohar, but you can call me Goy. It means existence in Armenian. In other words, I consist of frequency, vibration, and energy (if you know what I mean). Applying to AUA was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

So more about me. I am fascinated with China’s immense history and unique culture. I consider Chinese to be one of the most beautiful languages ever. So one of my main career goals is to have an impact on Chinese- Armenian relations. That is why I am majoring in English and Communications. Life is a journey without a destination, and we are the travelers in it. I love reading books. Through them, I am able to experience so much. My favorite authors are Herman Hesse, Zabel Yesayan, Virginia Woolf, and Kobo Abe. My life soundtrack is Pink Floyd’s “Marooned.” If I had a chance, I would live in Gregory Colbert’s “Ashes and Snow” movie and in the ending part of Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey.”
