Courses must meet minimum enrollment targets as set by the University. Courses that do not meet these targets will be cancelled prior to the first day of classes. In the rare case that a course is cancelled, you will be notified accordingly no later than May 2020 and asked to select an alternative.
Interested in complementing your summer studies with Armenian language instruction? AUA’s Open Education office will offer tailored Eastern Armenian language instruction for summer participants. Both private and group sessions are available. Additional charges will apply.

Our summer program includes the “Discover Armenia” Educational Tour. Complementing your studies, these tours fully immerse yourself into Armenia’s evolution from ancient times to the present. Partake in dozens of excursions inside and outside of Yerevan. Visit churches, castles, and fortresses nestled in the mountains, valleys, and fields of this ancient land. Take in the colors, sounds, and flavors and feel at home in Armenia.
Yerevan offers an affordable lifestyle and infrastructure for university students. The average monthly living costs for foreign students in Yerevan are in the range of $600-$1,000 per month (in addition to tuition fees). You can choose to eat outside at any of the hundreds of cafes or restaurants in the city, order takeout through www.menu.am, or take advantage of the on campus Aries Lunch Hall or Green Bean Cafe.
Summer students in need of housing may apply to stay in AUA's Student Residence Hall in Dzoragyugh, a short 20 minute walk from the University. The four story building will house up to 56 students in single and double occupancy rooms, each furnished with beds, side tables, desks, wardrobes, and a bathroom. The first floor will house a space for communal activities, a shared kitchen, and a study area. The Dzoragyugh residence will be fully accessible for disabled students. The Application for Summer 2022 will launch by February 15, 2021, at im.aua.am. Once available, you should create and confirm your profile in order to start your Application for Admission to Summer Program. Spending a summer abroad does not have to break the bank. The below is a breakdown of all costs for Summer 2020. Any changes for Summer 2022 will be reflected on this page by December 2021. All costs are mandatory unless marked optional.
