Tuition and Financial Aid

You must apply for financial aid at the same time as you apply for admission. You cannot apply after you are admitted. And keep in mind that applying for financial aid will not affect your application for admission. For additional information about financial aid, please visit finaid.aua.am.

 

ANNUAL TUITION

Students in degree programs sign a contract with AUA upon enrollment which establishes tuition for the duration of the contract. All fees are paid in AMD.

Students are classified as: 

» Citizens of the Republic of Armenia

» Ethnic Armenians*

» Holders of Armenian Special Passport (commonly known as the 10-year visa); or

» International Students

The annual tuition and fees for students enrolled in Undergraduate degree programs for the Fall 2026 cycle before financial aid are as follows:

  Citizens of the Republic of Armenia, Ethnic Armenians*, and Armenian Special Passport Holders International Students
BA in Business / BS in Economics 2,750,000 AMD 4,750,000 AMD

* Ethnic Armenians shall provide one of the following documents to confirm their ethnicity: 1. Birth Certificate, or 2. Baptism Certificate issued by a church organization. The certificates shall be attested (legalized) by the Armenian embassy/consulate in the country where the documents were issued or by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia through Consular legalization of documents.
** Programs include BA in English & Communications, BA in Politics & Governance, BS in Computer Science, BS in Data Science, BS in Engineering Sciences, BS in Environmental and Sustainability Sciences, and BS in Nursing.
*** AUA requires proof of health insurance for students who do not hold Armenian citizenship. You may purchase health insurance from any provider. Alternatively, AUA offers support in securing coverage through the University's provider for approximately 10,000 AMD per month.  If you are an international student physically in Armenia, you must demonstrate proof of valid health insurance during your studies at AUA in Armenia at the time of signing your Education Contract.

Important Announcement: Students admitted to BS in Nursing program will receive an automatic subsidy of 95% of tuition, provided they are citizens of the Republic of Armenia.

Financial Aid at AUA

Citizens of the Republic of Armenia, ethnic Armenians, and Armenian Special Passport Holders receive an automatic 2,000,000 AMD annual subsidy, which brings the total cost of education down from 4,750,000 to 2,750,000  (for BA in Business and BS in Economics) and 4,250,000 to 2,250,000 (for all other undergraduate programs). In addition, the University offers need-based tuition assistance for Armenian citizens that may discount the cost of education by up to an additional 90%. AUA also offers financial aid tools such as Installment Payment Plan, Deferred Payment, Merit Scholarships, and Work-study program to further support our applicants. International students are eligible for merit-based scholarships that may cover up to 50% of the total cost of tuition.
