AUA’s graduate program offers master’s degrees that develop critical analysis and depth of knowledge through advanced coursework, independent study, and research. The American University of Armenia accepts applications from professionals who have already obtained their undergraduate education and from students in their final year of undergraduate studies.

Selection Process and Target Scores

AUA practices holistic admissions. We select students who have the skills and ability to succeed at AUA and to assure that AUA is well suited to their educational and career goals. Once you submit your application, it is screened for technical eligibility. If eligible, the Admissions Committee then conducts a thorough review of your application, which may include inviting you to an interview.

Tuition and Fees

You should carefully consider the financing of your education at AUA from the time of admission to the completion of your degree. Students in degree programs sign a contract with AUA upon enrollment which establishes tuition for the duration of the contract. All fees are paid in AMD.

AUA is accepting applications for both the Spring 2019* and Fall 2019 admissions cycles. Interested in applying for spring admission (with courses scheduled to begin in January 2019), then download and complete the Spring 2019 Application Form for Admission to Graduate Study. Planning to apply for the Summer/Fall 2019 admissions cycle (with classes scheduled to begin in June for MSSM applicants and in August for all other programs)? Good news. The application is now live. Visit to start working on your application. 

* Spring admission is only available for the following programs:

  • Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering and Systems Management (IESM)
  • Master of Science in Computer and Information Science (CIS)
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Master of Science in Economics (MSE) - for current enrolled non-degree students only
  • Master of Public Health (MPH) - for current enrolled non-degree students only
  • Master of Laws (LL.M.) - for current enrolled non-degree students only
  • Master of Political Science and International Affairs (PSIA) - for current enrolled non-degree students only
  • Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (MA TEFL) - for current enrolled non-degree students only
Deadline Dates

Spring Application Deadlines
AUA offers Spring admission for select programs only (visit for a list of those programs). The Spring 2019 application is currently available in PDF format for download. The deadline to submit a Spring 2019 application is December 3, 2018.  

Fall Application Deadlines

The Fall 2019 application is currently available at  

Deadline dates are as follows:

Early Admissions - January 31, 2019
Regular Admissions - April 30, 2019

Rolling Admissions* - July 1, 2019   

* MSSM applicants are not eligible for rolling admissions as classes for the program will commence during the summer term. All other applicants submitting complete applications by the rolling admissions deadline date are considered on a space-available basis.


Admission to the American University of Armenia is competitive as there are more applicants than spaces available. If you are not offered admission to AUA, we welcome you to reapply in the future.
