AUA’s graduate program offers master’s degrees that develop critical analysis and depth of knowledge through advanced coursework, independent study, and research.

The American University of Armenia accepts applications from professionals who have already obtained their undergraduate education and from students in their final year of undergraduate studies.

We strongly encourage you to look at the admissions requirements of your preferred program to see target test scores and other requirements that vary per program.

Selection Process

AUA practices holistic admissions. We select students who have the skills and ability to succeed at AUA and to assure that AUA is well suited to their educational and career goals. Once you submit your application, it is screened for technical eligibility. If eligible, the admissions committee will then conduct a thorough review of your application, which may include inviting you to an interview.     Read more

How to Apply

The Application for Spring 2018 is currently available at If you are interested in applying for Fall 2018, please note the application will launch on December 25, 2017. To start your application, first create and confirm your profile. We strongly encourage you to review our Application Requirements prior to starting your application.

Deadline Dates

Spring 2018*- December 1, 2017

* Spring admission is only available for the following programs:

Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering and Systems Management (IESM)
Master of Science in Computer and Information Science (CIS)
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Current non-degree students enrolled in Master of Public Health (MPH)


Fall 2018

The Fall 2018 application for graduate programs is currently unavailable and is expected to launch December 25, 2017.

Early Admissions - January 31, 2018
Regular Admissions - April 30, 2018
Rolling Admissions** - June 30, 2018

** MSSM applicants are not eligible for rolling admissions as classes for the program will commence during the summer term. All other applicants submitting complete applications by the rolling admissions deadline date are considered on a space-available basis.

If any deadline date falls on a non-working date, the deadline will be moved to the following working day.

Military Deferment

AUA has a limited number of military deferment spots available for male applicants with Armenian citizenship, making the process of receiving military deferment competitive.

To be considered for military deferment, you must first indicate so on your Application for Admission and submit your application for admission by the regular admissions deadline date. Military deferment spots are allocated based on the quality of applicants with consideration to equity among programs. The Office of Admissions will notify all applicants of their military deferment status by mid-June.

Admission to the American University of Armenia is competitive as there are more applicants than spaces available. If you are not offered admission to AUA, we welcome you to reapply in the future.
